International Assemblers was founded on a simple idea: helping North American companies successfully operate manufacturing and assembly facilities in México without unnecessary complexity.
For more than four decades, the company has supported businesses entering the Mexican manufacturing environment through practical solutions, operational expertise, and hands-on management.
International Assemblers was founded by Dick Crocker, an entrepreneur with extensive experience in manufacturing, mining, and retail operations across North America.
Through his work with companies entering México, he recognized that many struggled with regulatory complexity, labor laws, customs procedures, and administrative requirements.
Instead of leaving companies to face these challenges alone, he developed a practical solution: a Shelter Program that allowed businesses to operate efficiently while an experienced organization handled the legal, administrative, and regulatory framework.
By establishing a U.S.-based company supported by a Mexican maquiladora subsidiary, International Assemblers created a structure that simplified the launch of manufacturing operations in México.
This model over time proved to be especially valuable for small and mid-sized companies seeking cost-efficient manufacturing solutions without the need to establish and manage their own Mexican entity.
“We had already heard about International Assemblers and the way they operated in Nogales. At some point, we decided to come down from Phoenix and see it for ourselves.
We met with Dick Crocker and his team, and what stood out wasn’t just the model —it was how practical everything was. It worked.
Years later, in 2016, we became part of that story with the creation of 5C Assemblex. From there, we focused on building our own capabilities in cable and harness manufacturing, while continuing to operate within a structure that had already proven itself over time.”

As operations grew, International Assemblers expanded its services to support more aspects of each project.
In addition to shelter services, the company developed capabilities in contract manufacturing, logistics coordination, human resources, accounting, and regulatory support.
This integrated approach allows clients to operate efficiently while focusing on production, quality, and growth.
In 2016, 5C Assemblex was established to expand manufacturing capabilities, specializing in wire, cable, and harness assembly for industries such as automotive, electronics, and medical devices.
Today, through 5C Assemblex, this legacy continues with more than 40 years of combined experience supporting North American companies in México.
With a hands-on management approach, the organization provides the infrastructure, expertise, and operational support needed to establish and grow successful manufacturing operations in Nogales, Sonora.
The mission remains unchanged: helping businesses navigate cross-border manufacturing with transparency, efficiency, and practical support.
